Rob Maatman heeft zeker niet stil gezeten de laatste tijd, erg veel in de US filmen voor de nieuwe Zero video, maar tussendoor heeft hij in Europa er ook nog een dik ITW uitgeperst in de niuwe Wood Magazine:

Ze staan niet stil bij Cliche, French Fred (Mortangne) heeft een hele mooie video in elkaar gezet met de man met de meeste pop: Andrew Brophy.

Ook Thunder trucks staat niet stil als het gaat om het gevecht tegen kanker.

Thunder heeft daarom speciaal een truck gemaakt met Chris Cole waarbij een deel van de opbrengst naar de Cure For Breast Cancer Foundation gaat. Goeie zaak!

Goeie vriend van Hardcore-Supplies Daydreamer Derk had laatst de kans om een interview te doen met Ishod, nieuwe trots bij Real Skateboards:

A few days ago I got a call from one of buddies at Nike SB asking me if I wanted to have breakfast with the team? I don’t need to explain that I couldn’t refuse a cup of coffee and getting the chance to interview some of my favourite skaters. Because of a tight schedule we could only interview two riders of which Ishod Wair is the first. Being the latest addition to Nike and Real he is kind of an unknown, except for the real internet skateboard connaisseur, but that will change quickly. That particular morning he was quite quiet, but that evening during the demo he couldn’t be silenced as his skating spoke volumes.

D: Ishod, I heard this is your first time in Europe.
I: Yep.
D: So how is it to be across the pond.
I: It’s mostly a different vibe. The architecture is different and it’s more mellow except for London.
D: Did you guys follow the World Cup?
I: Not so much teams, just the World Cup in general.
D: How is it travelling with the Nike SB team, being the new kid on the team.
I: Everyone is really cool. You realize that they are just normal people. Even buddies back home ask me, like, how is this and this guy, but they’re just normal people. They are just new buddies.
D: Did you guys get wild somewhere on the tour? I heard it got pretty wild in Copenhagen… I: I wasn’t on the Copenhagen leg of the tour, but we were in Paris in a bar. We were just chill, but Wieger was definitely in the mood. Wieger is a good drinker.
D: What do you think about skateboarding in Europe compared to the States?
I: The architecture and the vibe is more creative. Here in Europe spots are more like they build it and it just so happens that you can skate it. Which is not in the States.
D: I heard you guys went to the Rotterdam Skateplaza, what do you guys think of it?
I: It was really good and something unlike in the states. It is a spot, not a park: there are no ramps. You can just walk around and not even think that it is a skatepark, just a place where you happen to be able to skate.
Lance Mountain: Skateparks in the States are all fenced in, it’s a sort of juvinele hall the way they treat skateparks. Where as the skateplaza is in a beautiful park with plenty of open space.
